Damn it, if you can’t trust the tax man or all the current and former elected officials who put him into office, who can you trust?
The LA Times on Sunday and again today exposed what a crook LA County Assessor John Noguez is so it’s worth looking at who helped get him into office two years
In addition to this long list of powerful groups and current and former elected officials –nearly all of them political insiders with long records of failing LA city and county – his website carries the names of dozens of smaller town city officials who backed him:

This is an impressive list. If any of these individuals intend to seek
another public office, I am goiing to vote against them (Preferably a ccitizen and voter
who has not bern part of the City Hall Gang as I think of them.)
We have had enough of their kind of public service.
I notice Antonovich was the only Board member who didn’t endorse our latest scumbag elected official–good for the old guy! I see Carmen the Clown did! The other shoe is going to drop on this dumb fool Noguez: HE INCREASED ASSESSMENTS ON MANY PEOPLE WHO THE YEAR EARLIER WERE ASSESSED DOWNWARD due to drops in property values!!! Guess who one of those people is? It cost an extra $1,450 in taxes due to that fucking scuzzball and his fucking mis-calculations. If you want to have more fun, try looking at Noguez handling of assessments (or lack of) on those big Yachts in Marina Del Rey, Long Beach, and Wilmington. I went to an assessment appeal hearing and watched an old lady battling to get back a few thousands bucks and she’ll have to live to be 100 to see the money the way they’re dragging her case through the bullshit system. She was overcharged and clearly showed that! She had to hire a lawyer just to explain her case and no one really understood why she got overcharged! The elderly in this City really get taken hard to the cleaners when dealing with the Assessor and DWP.
L.A. is a 3rd world SHITHOLE because of these guys who help the superich and well connected get everything while screwing as hard as possible everyone else who can’t afford that.
I’ll leave you the lucky reader of this post with the best advice:
DON’T GROW OLD IN L.A!!!! HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY FOR THOSE “GOLDEN YEARS” OR YOU’LL BE NOTHING MORE THAN FEED FOR THE TROUGH AT CITY HALL. Want proof? Take a drive to the corner of James M. Woods street and Burlington St. Visit a care facility there and spend about 1/2 hour there. You’ll get the wake up call of your life. We’re all getting older really fast!
EAsy does it, Wayne. I do not want to live forever, either.
Please correct you post… the Los Cerritos Community News broke this story first, see the timeline on our site.
