Jack Humphreville Vs. Charlie Beck: Who’s Telling the Truth? Can You Tell the Difference? Do You Know Even What’s Real?

Civic leader Jack Humphreville stepped forward to challenge the Proposition A sales tax increase on the March 2013 ballot as he did in questioning massive rate increases by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the outrageous pay hikes and work rules won by its union boss, Brian D’Arcy, by buying most city officials and intimidating the rest.

Proving he stands for nothing, that he betrays all the best of what the LAPD has stood for, Chief Charlie Beck volunteered to be the spokesman for the sales tax increase that kills jobs, punishes the poor, limits business opportunities and does nothing except pay higher city employee salaries — including his own and his cops — that City Hall already granted at the height of the economic recession.

Watch and listen to Humphreville and Beck and does what is good for you — and for all of L.A.

I thought it was fascinating that Beck had to withdraw from the DROP program to become police chief. When are Angelenos going to stop be manipulated through fear? Mention LAPD and most voters go brain dead.

  2. Sierra says:

No on Proposition A, Yes on Kevin James.

No to anymore corruption: No to Perry (Garcetti on Steriods); No to Greuel; No to Fartcetti.

No more corporate bailouts and gifts of public funds to Millionaire and Billionaires.

  3. anonymous says:

I realize the Christopher Commission’s report is series of recommendations, but really, it is highly distasteful of a Police Chief to engage in such political activities.

PS Sierra, only a select few millionaires and billionaires are “bailed out.” Those select few are the Obama and Brown backers that are exempt from paying the tax increases (film producers, high paid athletes, solar companies, etc).

  4. Anonymous says:

Shame on Beck for spewing the same old tired lies about 5,000 employees losing their jobs and other city hall propaganda. If a police chief has no integrity what can we expect from his force.

  5. anonymous says:

Beck, no matter what happens, will retire with
a generous pension and history will glorify him
as a peace maker and visionary leader.
Understand? Now that you know, suffer.

  6. Wayne the Ex-Garcetti voter says:

On Alvarado and 8th St, there is a huge billboard (what else?) that says “YES ON PROP A, SUPPORT FIREFIGHTERS.” Problem is, it’s in Ingles! So the Fire Dept. clowns are also pining for this outrageous tax hike too. This proves the money is going all to PENSIONS, nothing else!
I got mailers from Garslutti’s campaign slamming Frau Fraud Greul. I got the same thing from Hamburger Perry. The three of them attacking so hard against one another opens a huge door for Kevin James. Kevin now needs to make a mailer to the Valley voters and hammer the points made ON PROP A, that it’s a PRODUCT OF THE CLOWNCIL, of which the other 3 are members or former members of. It doesn’t matter who voted Yes or No for it, It’s a product of THEIR COUNCIL.
“CITY HALL PUT THE SALES TAX SCAM ON THE BALLOT!” VOTE NO ON A, AND NO ON CITY HALL’S GANG. VOTE YES ON THE BUDGET HAWK, KEVIN JAMES. (And show a Hawk over the images of Chickens with Garslutti, Gruel, and Perry’s faces on the images of the Chickens.)

  7. Ricardo says:

What happened to the trash fee hike that passed and was supposed to go for all public safety? This sales tax won’t pass. Why didn’t Wendy Greuel audit all the city council members Office and the Mayor’s plus CD14 CLART’s fund that Huizar is abusing? I hear MILLIONS are hiding and being abused in those offices. Wendy promised when she campaigned for Controller that’s what she would do.
