The Last Election That L.A. Will Ever Need to Hold — Total Takeover of City Hall by Failed Politicians Looms

According to the Daily News, Kevin James “is not merely a vessel for protest against the ways of City Hall but a credible candidate for the office in his own right …he knows L.A. government and has been the most effective communicator on the stage at this year’s long series of mayoral debates.” But no, he’s not good enough.

Jan Perry “has brought to the campaign some much-needed blunt talk and an instinct for improving business conditions. City Hall would be better with more elected officials like her.’’ But no,  she’s not good enough.

Emanuel Pleitez has earned an ardent following with calls to lift underserved L.A. communities.” But no, not now, he’s too young. Not good enough.

Eric Garcetti  is “too nice for the task of running L.A. – too cautious, too easily pushed around, too eager to please,”  so definitely not good enough.

“The same suspicion could have applied to Greuel,” opined the Daily News in its editorial endorsement for mayor, but in a meeting with editorial board, she showed her mettle by “lightly pounding the table to emphasize key points … responded to criticisms with polite ferocity … and left little doubt she is sharp enough” to be mayor.

After, Wendy is a woman and a Val supported by public employee unions and the business interests that feed at taxpayer expense at City Hall – who could ask for anything more?

It’s time for newspaper endorsements in the city election with the Times’ still to come in the mayor’s race.

It promises to be the last election that will ever need to be held in Los Angeles what with the likelihood that failed politicians who pushed the city into fiscal quicksand without a rope and drove California into a fiscal hole it may never escape will hold all three citywide offices and eight City Council seats where they will be joined by five City Hall staffers and two ex-cops.

If L.A. was a publicly traded stock, I would suggest shorting it because it only can get worse as City Hall’s own financial experts have been saying for the last five years.

What I hear all over town from long-time residents is that it’s time to cash out and move on like so many middle class people have been doing for the last 30 years.

Nothing good can come from Greuel/Garcetti, Feuer, Zine, and the 99.44 percent pure oily Wesson City Council – yet civic, business, labor interests are lined up to persuade you to elect people who don’t give a damn about your values, needs, interests, people whose only virtue is how easy they are to manipulate for the advantage of those who profit at the public’s expense.

And you the voters — unthinking, uninformed, apathetic, indifferent and worst of all almost invisible on city election days – cast your ballots on the basis of name recognition, ads paid for with dirty money, symbolic language that panders to your prejudices.

You deserve the city you got and it you don’t come out of your coma in the next three weeks and reject the politics and politicians who have failed you over and you, then you will suffer the consequences.

Ron, is there any doubt that LA Slimes will endorse Liar Hypocrite Greuel? As far as the little girls in your old rag been impressed with the phony pounding her fist on the table , don` t you think it is hilarious ? Did they asked her about her boss D`Arcy? No wonder DN has become irrelevant.

  2. Wayne the Garcetti voter says:

I voted for Roseanne Barr for President because I live in California—home of the Liberal welfare mooch-driven economy! At 10:14 am this morning, the 405, the 101, and the 5 freeways going South to Downtown WERE AT A 10MPH STANDSTILL!! I’ve never (and for that matter in human history) have seen a City such as Los Angeles completely dependent on WELFARE MOOCHING! The lines at the welfare office, the courthouse for divorce filings, and the lines for free lunches near schools were AROUND THE BLOCK! Young girls dressed as prostitutes were roaming the streets in Downtown and Hollywood; Homeless were abound in every busstop, park, and Gov’t buildings; and scores of Gov’t plated trucks stopped with the guys and gals in them eating, texting, and just plain sleeping (while getting paid of course!)
Then we have Ms. Garza and the Woodland Hills Daily News Mafia: No doubt they’ll pass on James and give it’s “endorsement” to the Creepy Gruel and that fool Feuer.
The L.A. Slimes Mafia will follow somewhere near that mark too.
The Homeowners are mere ATMs, and the Businesses are ATMs or just plain nuissances to City Hall and King Herb I.
Ron is 190% correct—this election (and might I add the Obama reelection) will be the LAST time we get to vote. It’ll all just be appointments to office dressed as elections, like the old Soviet Union.
If you are a homeowner with EQUITY (which many folks do still have) then it’s a GREAT TIME TO SELL and you’ll get 20-40% more for your home than say June last year! You can even FORCE THE BUYER TO COVER ALL CLOSING COSTS—saving you the seller 7% of your close of escrow!! Agents will FIERCELY COMPETE to get your house to list for sale—Ron’s giving you a way out if you want it.
But most of us dummies will REMAIN. I’m thinking I should stay and write the history of the end of Los Angeles (someone has to record this.) The City will be broken up into sub-cities (the econ0mic viable areas.) Those homeowners will be saved the worst of it. Venice, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Pacifiic Palasades, and even Hollywood Hills East and West will be spared and reorganized. It’s South L.A., Downtown, Van Nuys, and Echo Park, etc. that will be DOOMED. L.A. County will have to take over 100% operations.
L.A. had a great run! The U.S. dollar had a great run. But now we’re presiding over the decimation of things we all USE to have to take for granted.
Can you see this Ad on the Net soon? “U.S. CITIZENSHIP—EU5,000 CASH ON SALE THIS WEEK BY HOMELAND SECURITY (EUROS OR CANADIAN DOLLARS ONLY, PLEASE…)
You, the stoopid U.S. Citizen FOOLS have voted away (or not bothered at all to vote away) your NATION and your own City and State.
Did you see Marco Rubio grab that bottle of water during his national statement to oppose King Obama? That’s the WATER BOY of the GOP!
This is why I’m casting the ballot for Little Eric—He turned Hollywood into a digital billboard and gave away millions to his criminal buddies, a true L.A. RENAISSANCE MAN! Perry is a fool who mailed me her propoganda today telling me she voted to support my right to not get a parking ticket for parking at a broken meter! Feuer has mailed me tons of stuff about what a great guy he is. Noel Weiss gets my vote and on the ballot in 2013 is the sole CREDIBLE human on it too!
Dummy Zine needs to RETIRE to his girl chasing in his West Hollywood flat he bought last year; and the People of CD3 will get the Jew Clown Blumenstoopid because none of them can read, write, or perform basic math without a Mac. CD5 will see the return of Fathead the DWP owned Jew, CD11 will get Rosendumb’s handpicked assclown chief of staff (because too many in Venice are medicated to think); CD1, CD7 and CD6 will get socialists with Latino last names just like the last 20 years. Not a single Asian representative for the Korean job creators will sit on that Horseshoe!
If the voters would simply see the reality of what I’m saying—in 4 years the City would be out of bankruptcy and the sales tax down to 7.75% But they get into their racial and religious corners and vote with their factions. The ballot is filled with liars, cheats, corrupt con-artists, and do-gooders who can’t do nothing.
I’ll spare Kevin James from having my endorsement—he doesn’t want it, never asked for it, and never wanted it. You can see why from what I write, of course.
I could of wrote his brochures and got them mailed out all over the Valley and the Downtown area (some in Spanish too–what the hell, why not?) He would of been labled “A racist, a Liar, a Fool, and an Illegitimate Candidate.” I could of gotten him 2nd place in a run-off with Gruel and brought him to victory by a few hundred votes
    in the run-off in May.
See, City Hall KNOWS THAT! Fortunately for them, “experts” were hired to “manage” the campaign for Kevin—you know the same guys that “managed” Romney’s campaign! They campaign like it’s 1963, not 2013! You need to run ads such as showing a picture of a toilet with Gruel’s face in the toilet that says “Vote Kevin, Let’s flush the City of Corruption!” and then on the next page list the alleged “crimes” of the opponent. Then at the debates–STICK TO IT LIKE GLUE!
Kevin behind the mike could do it, but not in real time. Hey, it’s not easy!
But we’ll all lose because of this shortfall….

Paul , this time she will charm them , as she has done with every fool who is in her corner. Don`t forget , their IQ is next to an imbecile , judging from their editorials.

  4. anonymous says:

Why the major newspapers ignore the real stuff and the Weekly papers do all the heavy lifiting? We had Los Cerritos Weekly certify Liar Hypocrite Greuel as a 4% Controller…..and expose Shallman as a tax dodger. Now LA Weekly clearly establishes that Wendy is D`Arcy`s lap dog . Meanwhile LA Slimes discusses how bored the candidates are with the debates, and the cheer leaders at the DN are rooting for the first woman Mayor. LA you have such a bright and promising future.

  5. teddy says:

We are the land of the free and the home of the brave. Fight back against
the LATimes and Daily News. They are sharing not only opinions but also
their political views. Do let your friends, family and neighbors know how
you will vote and use your pc as a wider readership than the local newspapers.

All these opinions from them are their personal hopes for their own power.
You stopped delivery of the papers, now stop them cold in the election. This
is our home, they are hoping for power. Take control for yourselves and
    fight back.

  6. teddy says:

    VOTE MARCH 5!!

  7. Anonymous says:

LA Times reports that city employees got huge raises. Make sure you vote yes on Measure A so they can continue to make $150,00 to 200,000 a year.

  8. anonymous says:

Anonymous 10:05am , and all the crooks who will disburse the $$$$$$$$$$………..

  9. ex valley says:

    From la slimes

“The added cost of the pay increases will equal three-fourths of the new revenue the city expects to collect if the sales tax measure passes.

    HA-ha-ha. Suckers pay up!

  10. anonymous says:

Where is the faud, otherwise known as Greuel , when the City needs her office ? Fraud is perpetrated on the citizens of LA w this sales tax. But, Hypocrite Greuel cannot stand up to her bosses , especially Durazo, cuz the unions are bankrolling her fraudelent campaign with millions. Where is the LA Slimes to question her. Oh too busy, they are writing her endorsement editorial

  11. Anonymous says:

LA City government of the unions, by the unions, for the unions, shall not perish as long as idiot LA voters elect union endorsed puppets and keep approving every tax increase.

  12. anonymous says:

If Antonio loved the cameras , you have not seen anything yet. God forbit and dishonest Greuel gets elected , she would make Antonio appear as workaholic . She just send an e mail ” She loves LA ” !! If a cat shits on her car she will send an e mail to animal lovers that she likes the color and texture of the shit. She is pathetic

  13. Wayne the Garcetti voter says:

KFI ran an ad today to SUPPORT the DIGITAL BILLBOARD MAFIA’s efforts to turn L.A. into a large set of bright digital ads! No shortage of rats on the sinking ship of L.A.

  14. Sierra says:

    “Anybody but Garcetti”

  15. Wayne being sensored (again) by Ron says:

Duhh, um, duhh. Democrats–goood, Republicans—baaad. There, let’s be scholarly.

  16. Sunk says:

LA is failing because its voters don’t care enough.

  17. anonymous says:

I wonder how much of that fist pounding was part of her theatrical campaign coaching.

  18. anonymous says:

Anonymous 10:18am, you are rite on. She is a fraud.

  19. Anonymous says:

Wonderful news. “Riordan, who is one of the most prominent Republican leaders in Los Angeles, praised James as the only candidate who isn’t beholden to labor unions. Riordan has warned repeatedly that the city could face bankruptcy if it doesn’t rein in its employee costs, a claim that some mayoral candidates, including City Councilman Eric Garcetti, have dismissed as overblown”.

    Vote for Kevin James.

    • ex valley says:

So you all will trample each other on your way to vote. What about your family, friends, neighbors. Sure like you all voted for Walter Moore in 2009. Why is this different this time?

  20. anonymous says:

Riordan praising James? Riordan is a buffoon with no balls. Why is he not supporting James? I`ll tell you why. Because he is and has been part of the corrupt establishement , going back to his tenure as Commissioner. He made more sweet heart deals as an insider then ,than I can recount. Give me a break.

  21. anonymous says:

Well, all the takers are gathering around Liar Hypocrite Greuel. Latest example F. McCourt. Wow, Wendy what an endorsement!! Are your hacks going to send an e mail heralding that McCourt believes in Greuel and he put his $50k where his mouth is? Come on! Shallman , another crook, can spin it, before your opponents use it against you. I mean B.D`Arcy , F. McCourt, R. Raman and the list goes on and on.

  22. Wayne the Garcetti voter calling out Jan "Long Beach" Perry says:

Notice that Jan Perry (who mailed me 3 pieces of lies, propoganda, and crap) lists her campaign address IN LONG BEACH? WTF??? These crooks running for mayor can’t even keep the jobs in L.A. for their fraudulent campaigns!
Then Perry shows a house with perfect sidewalks and concrete-perfect streets. Wonder what part of L.A. that photo was taken?
COME ON JAN PERRY—Move your campaign 100% to LOS ANGELES, not LONG BEACH you FRAUD YOU! Kevin James showed a Long Beach address earlier in his literature, I don’t know if he still is using LONG BEACH for his campaign finances?
On Tues, I think, there will be in Reseda High at night a gathering on the SALES TAX proposal. Show up and BOOOO!!!! (unless someone tells the truth that the idea sucks to raise the sales tax to 9.5%.
Jan Perry is the epitome of what the corruption in politics brings us. She has no talent, no ideas, no brains, and can’t even set up a campaign that employes 100% Angelinos no less.
I’m voting for Garcetti (aka Garslutti) since he is the chief architect of L.A. impending Bankruptcy. What better mayor to file for Bankruptcy relief for L.A. and come back to screw the City’s “family” of pension holders than Prince Eric?
Don’t saddle Kevin with it, and Gruel will sell the parking meters and all the parking garages first before she’d suggest a small cut in pensions. She’s the chief PENSION WHORE.
Walter Moore would of taken on the Pensions and the Union crooks. He had no ties to the Downtown crooks to tie him down to them. But Ex-Valley always seems to get it right, as he points out the truth—L.A. voters are a STOOPID lot.
Looks like a Gruel victory and she’s the worst of the worst running this time…

  23. teddy says:

Ordinary people – we need to go to the polls and vote for Kevin James.

  24. Stuart says:

How many current councilman and candidates for council or other offices served in Sacramento?

    • anonymous says:

Oh, Angelenos, awaken from your dreams.
Let not career politician Gil Cedillo seduce you
with cheap candies and fairy tales. Beware.
Do not enslave yourselves. Be free people.

  25. anonymous says:

Oooh, I see a smile on Ron`s face. LA Weekly roasted D`Arcy`s lap dog and Riordan forked her!

  26. anonymous says:

And now LAT cut her up!!!!!!!!!

  27. Wayne the Garcetti voter calling out Dumbtanich says:

How about the useless sellout City Attorney giving the money to those guys who called the cops on the Killer L.A. ex-cop? The Useless mayor said it was up to Carmen the Clown to decide who if anyone gets the award $$$$. Let’s hear from Noel Weiss—does he think the couple in Big Bear should get the reward? Then we have the digusting PIGS who dare hold a protest for the cop killer on Saturday! Low life SCUM who think a coward who guns down an unarmed woman with her boyfriend in a car in Irvine and 4 other cops just doing their shifts is a “hero.” When man can colonize Mars, these kind of bastards are the ones we’ll ship off the planet! Recall jamiel Shaw Jr? Was his assassin a “hero?”
Killers are just killers—we need to bring back the ELECTRIC CHAIR and the FIRING SQUAD and clear out the backlog of death penalty cases! It took the San Bernardino Cops to Krispy Kreme this cop killer! They weren’t going to give this jerk the benefit of a trial. He didn’t give the girl and the men he gunned down a trial! Good Job San Bernardino Cops! Big Bear ROCKS!

  29. American Democracy and Politics gone astray! – YJ Draiman

In reviewing the current political mood and elections in America (that includes city state county and federal), it clearly reveals, that in recent elections, that some of the divisions of our country and culture, as framed by politicians and special interests – often pit people, job security and health benefits against taxpayers and corporate interests. No matter what we believe might be best for our communities, cities, schools, jobs or country – near term or longer term – the forces of change are here.
Take a close look at one of the largest inter-generational protest gatherings of our times as the drama between well-financed political forces and hard-pressed budgets collide with proposed cuts in educational programs. This political drama is accompanied by the silencing of workers that often trade salary for longer-term benefits. What does the future hold for a country where tens of millions believe that only the rich and powerful shuffle the deck while others are dealt frequent losing hands? What is our purpose?

The mega-selling of American democracy is the major political Parties invention, and the political machine of the two major parties are its beneficiaries.
Moreover, the major losers are the American people.
You need to make a ruckus. Do not fall into the seductive trap of cynicism. That is what the sellers of American democracy are counting on. If you give up on our system of government, they win everything.
Let us present qualified candidates, where money is not the criteria.
Register to vote and vote; the masses outnumber the special interests at least 8-2, by our massive voting block we can take back our government and have it serve all the people, not just the select few.

    Power to the people!
